Dallas Boudoir and Creative Photography with Model Lily Luna
Lily Luna is a model from Dallas, and we have started working together regularly this Summer. I am freaking pumped to see what magic we make together! We have shot a Unicorn themed session, a patriotic theme, moody boudoir, summer fun, and our pop art concept featured on this blog. I met Lily through a DFW photography group that connects aspiring photographers and models for portfolio building sessions; it has been about a year and a half since we first connected and it has been encouraging and motivating to watch as our work improves.
For her boudoir photos, we wanted to focus on something soft, moody, and to highlight the concept of self love. We live in a world that tells us we are not pretty enough, not smart enough, not skinny enough, that our teeth aren't white enough, that our cellulite is ugly, and so on. We are here to remind ourselves and you that none of those things are true. You are beautiful. You are brilliant. Your body is beautiful and all bodies matter. Your body is absolutely gorgeous. We are all evolving works in progress, but we must love ourselves through the process.
Our second concept was more art driven, and took a little bit of experimenting to make happen, but we did it! I was an artist during high school and have spent the last three years rekindling my passion for mixed media art; I love when I am able to combine mixed media concepts and my photography. Lily was a trooper during this process; the confetti was not stable, so Lily had to freeze in between each frame.
